My Journey

Tansi totahmtihk! I am Mahegun iskwew, known in English as Sherry Greene, from Maskwacis, AB, from the traditional Treaty 6 territory. As the founder of Askiy Eco Distribution, I hold a powerful vision: to integrate Indigenous values with innovative and sustainable business practices.
I am proud to have been a Semi-Finalist in the 2025 Pow Wow Pitch competition and currently serve as a dedicated member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). My commitment goes beyond commerce; I am deeply passionate about advancing Indigenous entrepreneurship, fostering a sovereign supply chain, and empowering businesses to operate responsibly for a cleaner, healthier Mother Earth.

Embracing a Sustainable Future

We believe in the profound ability to foster Indigenous sovereignty through a robust supply chain, championing a circular business model that benefits our communities. As Indigenous people, we are stewards of the land, and we aim to share these vital teachings with non-Indigenous businesses who support us through economic reconciliation, building a future where sustainability is the standard.

Guiding Principles and Core Values

At the heart of Askiy Eco Distribution lies a deep respect for Land Stewardship and Responsibility to Future Generations, recognizing our inherent connection to Mother Earth. Our Community Empowerment pillar is dedicated to supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship and forging partnerships that strengthen local economies.

"As an Indigenous-owned company led by a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, our resilience is a testament to the strength and spirit of our people."
